On February 7, Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whiskey launched Buchanan’s Pineapple – the first offering from the House of Buchanan’s to feature the signature smoothness of Scotch Whisky with the vibrant taste of pineapple. Inspired by the delicious flavors of the brand’s signature Buchanita recipe, Buchanan’s Pineapple features a hint of zesty citrus perfectly paired with the light caramel and vanilla notes, finished with lingering, bright tropical flavors.

This new release is perfect for elevating the drinking experience at home or while out, with Buchanan’s Pineapple proving versatile in a number of recipes and styles. It’s delicious served as a shot glass with Chamoy and chili-lime seasoning, and mixes perfectly in cocktails like the Bucha Colada (Buchanan’s own take on the popular piña colada, but with whisky).

Buchanan’s Pineapple is welcoming drinkers 21 and older to step into a tangier timezone and a more vibrant world of flavor with new campaign It’s Piña. The campaign celebrates a tropical state of mind, an energy, and a magic moment that happens the instant you share a piña drink with friends and family. The integrated campaign will launch with digital content in social and paid media, featuring original music by Venezuelan -Dominican producer Napoles, who added his 200% flavor to the campaign.
In addition, Buchanan’s kicked off their “It’s Piña” programming alongside Grammy Award nominee, singer/songwriter, and pop culture heartthrob Omar Apollo, with digital advertising content in paid digital and social media, cocktail recipes and live events!
Earlier this month, Apollo celebrated his Best New Artist nomination at the Spotify Best New Artist Party in Los Angeles, with Buchanan’s Whisky. He and invited guests of the annual event were among the first to experience the flavor of the new Buchanan’s Pineapple in delicious cocktails, setting a tropical vibe for intimate performances by Apollo and other nominees, such as Anitta, Tobe Nwigwe and more.

Buchanan’s Cocktail Recipes
Bucha Colada
Over crushed ice or frozen
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Buchanan’s Pineapple
- 2 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1 oz Coconut Cream
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Glassware: Highball Glass
Garnish: Lime Wheel, Angostura Bitters Float
Method: Add Buchanan’s Pineapple, pineapple juice, coconut cream, lime juice and ice into a shaker, and shake until cold. Pour into highball glass filled with crushed ice, and top with a float of angostura bitters. Garnish with a lime wheel.
(Alternatively, make frozen in a blender.)
Pairing: Guacamole and Tostones

Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Buchanan’s Pineapple
- 4 oz mineral water
Glassware: Highball Glass
Garnish: Tajin rime, Lime Wedge
Method: Rim highball glass with Tajin. Pour Buchannan’s Pineapple into highball glass over ice and top with mineral water. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Pairing: Shrimp Paella
